Precious Adults
We retire all Our female Yorkies at around 5 years of age. Some earlier if they have had to have c- sections to birth puppies. We never put Our Precious Females lives at risk to have Puppies.
We do not breed females under 5 pounds, so we do not retire tinies as they are never held to breed.
We place to DRIVABLE homes to Our state ONLY, we never do flights on our retiree's, or Our Adults that we are rehoming if they are unable to have puppies. UNLESS YOU ARE A PAST CLIENT WE CAN TRUST TO RETURN THE DOG IS IT FOR ANY REASON DOES NOT WORK OUT.
See the Map At Bottom Of the Page. Please Tell Us what state you are from on your Application.
All are placed on a trial basis and in the rare intense the match is not the right fit, we do not get into the complicated flight arrangements, fee's , and we want them as close by to us as possible . Letting Go of my adult Babies, is one of the hardest things I have to do with my breeding program. I love them dearly & my heart is broken when I have to let them go , they have been a part of my family and I am very selective about the homes my adults go into, they are placed under a 3 month trial basis into your home to make certain they are the right fit for them and for yourselves. They have worked out beautifully for the most part in new homes but we have to leave it open that if you or I at any time I feel the dog is not suited in the home I can request the dog be returned, or you can return the dog if not adjusting well in the new environment . I take alot of time and put so much thought into what home I think they would best fit. The adoption fee is always the Spay and dental fee ( around 700) with very little invested for many years to make amazing companions. I have been very blessed with amazing homes, and my clients have stayed in close touch with updated on the babies. You CANNOT ADOPT ONE OF OUR ADULTS FOR A FRIEND OR A FAMILY MEMBER. Your home is the one considered and chosen.
It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that the routine for our adults is close to the lifestyle we have here for them.
Our Babies are house Pets and while we do have a precious courtyard for them for Play and exercise, they are Potty Pad trained for indoors. The weather here is too cold in the winter and hot in the summer for total outdoor potty training. They are used to strollers, not being leash walked as its not necessary here. They are in a fenced in area for play outdoors weather permitting. But enjoy laps and being strolled in the stroller.
So if you are in a condo or do not have a fenced in yard for play only, or are planning to try to outdoor potty train them, it would probably not be the best fit for you or my Babies that are trained to the Potty Pads indoors.
They would not adapt as adults to being leash walked for potty and a whole different way of life.
Terms and Conditions Agreement Below
Terms and Disclaimer are as follows from 2005-2024.
1. All retirees are placed under a 3 month trial basis, ( It is NOT considered your dog until the 3 months is up and both the new home and myself are certain this is the right fit). I have many requests for retirees and weighed all options and put my heart into choosing the right fit, not something I take lightly for their forever home, takes me months to work up to letting them go and choosing what's best for them. There is NEVER any 3rd party placements or rehoming of any retiree within the 3 months trial or for the lifetime of the Dog. If for any reason you cannot keep the dog for the its lifetime you will need to contact me immediately and the dog will need to be returned. They always have a home here and their future is at my discretion not yours if this were to occur.
These are adult dogs, that are acclimated to my environment here, and have have been their Mommy. We have to make sure if the new home has other dogs in the home etc, it is a right fit. With the dogs they currently own, and that the retiree does well in the new home. If either of us feels may not be the right match, the new home needs to return the dog. I have only had this happen once where a retiree did not do well with the other female in the home and the client gladly brought the dog back. Most always it works out beautifully if the client complies with the terms. Your home was chosen by me with the dogs best interest in mind, if a client with their puppies I always like to reunite them with their babies if possible. I normally chose home that I know will send updates, that is one way I am able to let them go and it is still extremely hard.
2. Do NOT ALTER THE DOG WITH ANY SORT OF CUTTING OF THE HAIR OR SHAVING WITH GROOMERS or give the dog any additional vaccines required by groomers until the 3 month trial period is up and the dog is officially yours. If the dog would need to come back it needs to be in the condition it left my home and not personalized to your taste on grooming or vaccines. The dog will come with a current yearly booster of the distemper /parvo and check from my vet ( which is all you would need as stated by my vet), but prior medical records must stay here for my AKC and accounting files on litter, dentals, ex-rays etc.
3. Do NOT RENAME ADULT DOGS. A new environment is confusing enough without giving a new name to an adult dog. This is selfish, and not fair to a baby that has answered to the same name for years.
4. The dog is not considered yours until 3 months from the date of the exchange. As written on all signed agreements. I cannot risk something not working out on a baby that the client has very little investment and the dog not be able to be returned in the rare instance this would occur. While very unlikely if terms are not abided by and the dog is requested back and not returned or any terms broken, legal action would be taken to obtain the dog back. You will be signing a contract to the terms above before any dog is released.
5. Our Dogs are Potty Pad Trained for Indoors. They are Let out for Play Weather Permitting. As stated above...
If you are planning on Total Outdoor Potty Training or long leash walks Our Babies would not be your best fit. They Prefer Strollers and Potty Pads indoors. While most do go Potty During Play TIme Outdoors it is not a requirement here.
If you are considered for a retiree you are have touched my heart in some way. As they are my Heart!
